Following the meeting on Research Animals last Tuesday 1st March 2011 looking at the new EU Directive on the protection of animals used for scientific purposes, the minutes are now available in the Minutes Archive. APGAW would like to thank members for attending, and welcome Waitrose as a new member whose engagement in animal welfare issues are much valued. Also thank you to the speakers from the RSPCA, Institute for Animal Technology and BUAV. APGAW intends to write to the Home Office Minister on the concerns that rose from the meeting and to respond to the Government Consultation later this month. More news on the EU Directive will be posted on this website in due course.
